I want to paint dark colored paneling. What preparation do I need to do to the paneling before I paind. Also, I would like to hide the lines of the paneling so it doesn't look like paint over paneling. I'm not very good in plastering so filling them in won't work.

If plastering the cracks isn't your forte, then you really have one option that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Want to know what it is????

Bridging Material. It is a blank wallpaper DESIGNED to do what you are looking for. It bridges over the gaps in your paneling.

You can buy it at your local home improvement store or online from Cavalier Prints (http://www.wallliner.com/wall_liner2.html). Any brand will work, but theirs is the cheapest and strangely enough, the cheapest.

Need instructions to do it?? No problem....click me!! (http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88109)

EDIT ...my thanks/apologies to twelvepole. We posted at the same time!!!
