I've just ripped some old indoor/outdoor carpeting off an outdoor cement stoop. The carpeting was at least 15 years old. There is still glue on the cement - has anyone had any luck removing this stuff? It will come off with scraping with a hard edge, but that takes too long, and I'd prefer not to use a solvent as I want to use concrete stain after removing the glue.

Welcome to my world! Sometimes it take a little effort to do it right. They wonder why I charge more to remove some floorcoverings, then I do to install them! Not until they try it themselves, do they understand the time & cost.

Go buy a pack of blades and call it a day.
