We are tearing out an old ceramic tile floor with a cement mortar bed under it so that we can replace all the plumbing (this is part of a total bath remodel).
Also, we're installing hydronic radiant floor heating in this room to replace the hot water radiator.
I'm trying to decide between another mud bed, a lightweight mortar bed, or cement board. Can someone please outline the pros and cons of these?
Thanks!
