We are painting walls in our house, using latex paint and tried several different edgers along the woodwork. Also used the special tape and nothing seemed right. Now have dry paint on the woodwork. How can I get the paint off?? Would appreciate a great idea as I have been using water and really scraping with my fingernails and hope there is a better way.

Try a scotch pad - the ones made for glass and teflon pans. Keep damp and you should be ok.

Big globs will still need something like your finger to avoid gouging or scratching the wood.
