My children have lost the keys to the house and I want to change the locks myself. How do I do this?

When we bought our house I changed the locks. Its not hard. I purchased my locks from Home Depot and had them keyed alike.
While there, ask one of their personnel to go over the installation with you. They will show you on a mockup how to do it. Also, when you get home, you will have your handy-dandy instructions that come with each door lock or deadbolt. Also, they will explain any tools you may need (probably just a flat head and phillips head ~has the cross at the tip~ screwdriver).
If you don't want them keyed the same, then it makes it so much easier to have them color coded (make copies using different colors for front door, side door, etc.)
