I have an emerson fan motor nodel number K55HXCTJ-6645 outside on my air conditioner. It has 2 small oil plugs. How much oil do I put in each plug and what type of oil do I use? 3 in 1 or regular 30W car motor oil or something else?

3 in 1 is good but not automotive oil. I like to use the small plastic bottle that has a long, thin, round, telescoping spout. Makes it easy to get into awkward places. The appliance parts places will have it. You put in a spritz of oil, work the blade back and forth for a bit to spread the oil around the bearing, then add a little more. You don't want to drown the motor in oil.

Another satisfied customer!! Next thing, you'll be telling us you're attending a/c school. hehe My perspective is that here are a lot things a fairly handy owner can do and some they shoudn't. When you DIY, you may or may not save money but you the satisfaction of self reliance.
