I have a drop in tub coming tomorrow that I have to build a frame for to set it in. I have the plumbing sort of completed (((this is a remodel))) and the drain in place... altho I can't set it permanate till I know the tub will fit over it. ((this will also have a shower))
My question: What should I make the surrounding frame with? My thoughts were to build two 8' walls on each end with 2 x 4's and a small wall in front. ((I'm using the back wall of the room to place it against.)) And I'm using 3/4" plywood flooring. The tub is oval on each end and I can't figure out how to turn a rectangle frame into one that will suround my tub perfectly to suport it.
Thanks....

BJshome,
I have attached pdf site for a Lasco tub with information on framing details - your tub that you have coming will have a spec sheet as well but if you don't have one now, get a copy of it via internet or through your supplier before it comes.

Good Luck!
