I had someone frame my bathoom enrty way so I could install a packet door. I have purchased the pocket door and it's many parts. My question is this; first what is a plumb ( or what does it mean)? Second what is the most important thing to remember when installing a pocket door? and finally where should the shims be placed and is there any other reason to use them other than to fill in the gaps and center the door frame?

"Plumb" means "perfectly vertical."
The most important thing is to follow the pocket door manufacturer's instructions for framing the door. Shims are typically where needed to help square up the opening.
