I have a window that the jams and frame have been cut (the
previoius owners cut it to fit an air conditioner), I have another window that is the exact same size that I am removing to make the room bigger (it separates the porch from the living room), can I use that window for the replacement of the other window?
I'm not sure if you can do that or would a new window be better?
any advice is greatly appreciated.

If the window is in good shape and matches the rest in your home, there should be no reason why you couldn't use it to replace the other.
Good Luck!
