I have an entertainment center from IKEA that I would like to paint. It is made of an oak wood laminate, but I am unsure if this type of wood can be painted at all. Please help!:confused:

As with any painting surface preparation is important. Cleaning and then light sanding to rough up the surface followed by a primer would probably be needed. After that, just be sure to choose a quality paint and follow the instructions regarding 2nd coats, drying time, etc. I'd consult with someone at the paint store regarding the best type of paint to use on this though.
