Can anyone tell me what the temperature coming out of the register is suppose to be? Currently mind is reading 62 degrees F.

Seems to me I've seen the figure kicked around here before and it's based on the differential between the room temp and the register temp. I think 15-18 degree drop or somewhere thereabouts. Subtract register temp from current room temp and it should be somewhere in that neighborhood. I would think 62 degrees would be quite sufficient for proper cooling.

To get an accurate TD across the indoor coil, first have a clean filter and make sure all registers and dampers are open. Let the unit run for about 10 minutes and using an accurate thermometor, take the temp of the return air at the unit. Then the supply air about 18-24 inches away from the unit. In both cases you do not want any "outside" air. You're in the ballpark if the differential is between 17 and 21 degrees. Higher or lower indicates trouble is on the way.
