Walls and Ceilings - Load Bearing Wall?

I am about to remove a drywall wall from a very old house that has the slat and horse hair plaster walls.
In the basement a main floor beam runs paralel to it, about 3 feet away.
The wall is of drywall and the studs are about 3 1/2 to 4 feet apart. Pretty bad work for whoever put it up. It is very flimsy, I can push on it and make it give some.
I can't see how it can be a bearing wall, but I wanted people's thoughts on it.

Yeah, that's a pretty safe bet. Just be careful to ID electrical wires or plumbing before you cut through the wall, if you haven't already done so.
