I am redoing a bathoom floor. I have old linoleum over a plywood subfloor which is over another subfloor. I want to remove the linleum and the top sub-floor at the same time. I want to have a hadwood floor installed above the bottom subfloor. How can I remove only the top sub floor? Is this possible? How can I do this? Please send detailed intstrucions - I/m a novice!!! Project stopped until we figure this out! Please reply ASAP!!! Thanks.:(

Set a circular saw depth-of-cut to the thickness of the top subfloor. Cut out the top subfloor where you want to put the hardwood and pry it up.

If the top subfloor was glued/construction adhesived to the first subfloor you may have to cut up both layers and lay a new subfloor. Make the cuts that run parallel to the floor joists directly above the midline of a joist where possible. This makes it much easier to lay the new floor.

Good Luck.
