I recently moved into an older home and one room has 5 windows that have light brown roman shades, all in good condition.Is there any way of changing the color of these shades such as painting. Saw an artical in Southern Living about painting stencils on this type of shades but I would really like to change the color. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Gerry Lambrecht

the blinds may be abled to be painted with a water base paint,and they may be abled to be died if material in not to heavy. my concern would be the srinkage that may take place by either tratment, and then the posiblity of it curling. If you know they have been watered cleaned before it might help make your choice easier
