I am hoping someone can help me out. I was cleaning out a garage the other day and found an old baby bed it had the date 12/1947 on it. Can someone please tell me where I can find information on this? Also, my aunt has a huge old organ, it has a bunch of numbers on the back. I was wondering if someone could help me with that also. Thank you fo all your help.

Providing any information as to the manufacturer of these two items will enable anyone who has information to help you.

I work in an antique store and get questions like this all the time. If you are interested in selling it, take it to an established antique store and they should be able to tell you quite a bit about it. Most people who deal in antiques have a knack for recognizing a furniture maker or at least the style and era (Era being already known.) Knowing the type of wood it is made from, origin, style, etc. will help the dealer to determine the value of the piece for you. Unfortunately, 1947 isn't really that old so hopefully you've got a well known manufacturers piece. By the way, usually the maker will put a mark somewhere on the piece. Look it over really good to see if you can't find it. As for the organ, there are pricing guide magazines for most all types of instruments. That is generally what music stores use to determine pricing when they deal in used instruments. Call one of these stores with your model number and they should be able to price it for you. Good Luck!!! :)
