Parawood, sometimes called 'rubber wood' is the trunk of the tree that originally was tapped for the juice that produced rubber. Native to South America, it is now found additionally in SouthEast Asia.

The botannical name is Heva Brasiliensis.

The density is rated as 7+, as compared to Birch (7) and Ash (8).

Check into your favorite search engine on the web and use "parawood" as the search criteria - yo'll get a multitude of hits from furniture and flooring manufacturing concerns.
