I am changing a custom shower stall into an area for a bathtub. I have an area of 60"x30" which should fit all normal bathtubs. The drain is 24" from the rest of the plumbing. I have not seen any standard bathtubs with a drain in the middle of it. Is there any hope of finding a bathtub that will work, or will I have to cut the foundation and move the drain?
Thanks,
Celeste

Sorry. You need to move the drain.
A tub slightly slopes toward the drain end to gravity-flow all water out.
Good Luck!

You have two options.
1. Break the slab and move the current drain
2. Keep the current drain but raise the tub about 12" than normal and connect a pipe to the shower drain from the tub drain.
I took option #2 because time & headache advantages surpassed a slight odd look of a raised tub.
