Have met plumber from hell. He worked while I was at work. Wall tile all unlevel, tub itself runs 3/8" low at the back, he ran the tiles starting very close to tub so everything is running 3/8" off. In wall he told me he should put a new pvc vent but what I have found is he cut off old galvanized stack pipe at about 5' and strapped it to the old pipe. No seal at all. Will that be a problem? Will water from shower be a problem with the tub running toward the wall? I don't know what to do but I don't want him back. Also can't get the faucets on right because he put the brass thing that water handle attaches to about an inch into room instead of wall flush. Where do I start? I have checked floor with 4' level and it seems level up to the tub. Thanks

I hope that you haven't paid this "plumber".
I would give him the opportunity to come back and completely re-do the entire job, or file a license complaint, a BBB complaint, and take legal action agaisnt him for shoddy work.
Before you touch anything, take photos of it all, showing the defects.
There should be a Fernco coupling on the vent pipe connection.
The tub should be installed level, and all water should then gravity flow to the drain.
The tile should be level and plumb.
The faucets should mount flush to the wall.
Good Luck!
