I am installing t&g hardwood. I had to put a 5/8th inch plywood subfloor down. I will now have a large step down into the kitchen. How do I add a reducer? The reducer for the hardwood floor will only reduce to the plywood. The wood floor is about 1/2 inch. Making the total drop to the kitchen of over an inch. Please help.

You could find someone to make you one of these....I could put one together in a jiffy with a table saw, and often do so with some of the different floor heights I encounter.
