Loft Conversion

Hello,

My wife and I are planning to get our loft converted. We had a basic plan done but we would like to make the loft a very special place including a master bedroom with en-suite and possibly a small dressing and a small home-cinema/play room. Being a loft the place is 5.2m wide but starts with a height of 1.2m to up to 2.4m in the middle of the room.

You can see the current plan at:- www.perrault.eclipse.co.uk/loft.jpg

Now we think this is too basic and there must be away to do better by for example getting an open bathroom and dressing at the end of the largest room (as a kind of long corridor).

Any idea how we could make best use of the place will be very welcome.

Thanks

Hi esieens, welcome to DIY

You didn't set your location, so, according with the link, I'd assume that this is located in the UK?
This is very important because we don't know the codes or regulations for the minimum ceiling heights?
Is this a loft or an attic?

Loft Conversion

Is the en-suite location fixed or dictated by the plumbing and waste piping?

plumbing

No it can be put pretty much anywhere. I have three bathrooms on the floor below so many access points for water and waste.
