Chrome can be dramatic and fit with any decor, but at this age and stage of my life, I don't have time to keep anything clean that shows dust or fingerprints. I know the stainless steel appliances are popular, but the forum posts are full of complaints about cleaning problems. I prefer low gloss, low shine products and fabrics and carpets that are not going to make me a slave to cleaning. I am a sucker for earth tones accented with rusts and reds, greens, and dark blues. I also find the yellows, corals, blues and greens an attractive combo, but when I go to the store I always end up with the colors I love. My wardrobe would appear to be quite dreary to most folks. Just about everything is some flavor of green or brown, although I have recently thrown in a little black. When in doubt about colors, I always recommend that you open your closet door for guidance. |
