Black & Decker sander repair

I've got an old Black and Decker sander that I
use very occasionally, and which finally broke
this weekend. Black & Decker says parts are no
longer stocked, but I hate to scrap and replace
a tool that I'll only use maybe once a year.
(model is 7404, type 1)

When I opened it up, I see there's a 5 sided
collar which slips over the motor shaft and
connects it to the orbital sanding plate. This
collar is what broke.

The outside of the collar is pentagon shaped,
and the inside is meant to slip over some grooves
in the motor shaft. Does this 5 sided collar
sound like a standard part or is it likely to
be unique to this model sander ?

Thanks for any advice
