I think you may be referring to figure 12 (page 15 of my copy of the manual). That model siren has a built in tamper switch. It's use in a residential install is pretty much optional. (Generally it's only connnected to a tamper zone in locations were someone might actually try to remove the siren, like a commercial installation).
