| Thanks for the advice, guys. I'd rather not put the receptacle on the side of the base cabinet for safety reasons, since it would be right by the back door. The plugmold looks promising -- but I also wanted to put a 3-way switch for the ceiling light next to the receptacle. So far I'm leaning toward running conduit through the wall cabinet for the receptacle and 3-way switch. Some followup questions: - Should I use plastic or metal conduit, or does it matter? - Can I run the 2 nm cables (one 12/2 and one 14/3) directly inside the conduit? What size conduit would I need? - Do I have to clamp/attach the conduit at the point where it comes out of the wall and into the cabinet? How should I do this? (This is also the same spot where the 12/2 cable for the microwave will come out of the wall into the cabinet above.) Thanks again. |
