In any case, L is used for lockout. If the unit goes out on Hi, Low press, freeze stat, or anyother safety the L output is energized and a light would also illuminate at the stat to warn the homeowner something is amiss.
Unless the IAQ has a fault light (I don't think it does) don't use the L wire. __________________
