Can I just pick out some nice hinges and 2 pieces of tempered glass to make my own fireplace doors? I'm thinking of fastening them directly to the brickwork, no frame at all. Think it would work out OK? I'm just not finding anything to fit my opening (28") or my budget. Some of these semi- custom doors sell for as much as $2000!
