ok so I got the alarm all in and even called up a monitoring company. We did a test but I realized I had no phone lines...

so I troubleshot it out..

long story short... adt originally didnt wire the phone line to the rj45 block right..

they didnt put red/red black/black green/green white/white..

so after I hooked all that up... I had dialtone at the alarm panel... outter 2 pins..

I then hit the center 2 and realized I had to hookup the black and yellow as I used the red and green to the panel..

anyway... I just tested the alarm again..


1. Can I enter my cell phone number as a number for the house to call?

if so how does one set that up?

2. after setting the alarm off.. after time I had dial tone then lost it... guessing the alarm took over....

now the alarm never called my cell (I put my phone number in where the alarm rep told me to put their number)

disabled the alarm and had dialtone again so guessing that is right...

now my delema is the alarm panel at the keypad said phone dial error or something....

how can I figure out the problem on the phone side????? I dont know much about the alarm phone side but can tell you this much...

1. wire outside is red/green being used and black/yellow off to the side...

2. wire enters house and is split.... yellow/black go into the wall where the red and green run elsewhere..... now at the alarm panel I have red/green going to alarm and yellow/black as what I am guessing is feeding the house from the alarm panel...

at the concord 4 panel the outter 2 are the red and green... the inner 2 are the black and yellow....

so if I havent confused ya enough... hopefully someone knows......
