| humidifier question :)Hello, I have an Aprilaire humidifier model 440 and a York electric furnace model N2AHD14A06C. The humidifier isn't working because it isn't getting power to it. The humidifier is connected to the furnace in the following way: The red wire goes from the selinoid to the (Y) terminal on the furnace terminal panel, the white wire goes from the selinoid to the humidistat and a red wire from the humidistat to the (G) terminal on the furnace terminal panel. With the furnace running, there is NO power at the selinoid or at the (Y) and (G) terminals on the furnace terminal panel. There is a 24 volt transformer mounted just to the right of the furnace terminal panel with 2 black wires connected to it and then running upward into the furnace power supply box, there is also a 3 amp fuse switch mounted between the transformer and the terminal panel. At this point I haven't looked inside the power supply box. The 24 volt transformer has power (24 volts) at the connections. What do I do at this point to determine why there is no power to the humidifier selinoid? Thank you mross |
