| In general, you cannot easily connect single station/single station interconnected smoke alarms to security panels. A few brands make a relay for the purpose, but for a number of reasons it's a bad idea.
System smoke detectors are a different proposition. Most newer systems will support one zone (8 to 16, depending on system brand) of two wire smokes, or several zones of 4-wire smokes.
I favor the System Sensor brand. The I3 models are simply physically easier to connect.
Otherwise, any of the major brands will work just fine. __________________
