You already have the metal frames for the chain link gates. Use them and simply attach the wood fence boards to them, after you remove the chain link fabric. Those frames won't sag like wood will, and they won't rot.
Using the existing posts can be doable, but you'll probably have to put wheels under the gates at the latch ends to support the extra weight of the wood. Since this is over a driveway, the wheels won't be a problem. |
